The Significance of Christian Counseling Centers
The world today is in a precarious and dangerous condition. This has placed many Christians in situations economically and morally that create stress on the family, marriage and workplace. Many Christians in authority do not believe in referring their emotionally troubled congregates to professional Christian counseling centers.
In the Bible in the book of Proverbs, chapter 24 verses 5 & 6 it says “A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.” We are advised in God’s word to seek counsel. It goes on to say in verse 7 “Wisdom is too high for a fool.” We are foolish not to.
Some value the accumulation of knowledge, but Paul pointed out to the Colossians in chapter one verses 9 – 14 that knowledge in itself is empty. To be worth anything, it must lead to a changed life and right living. Paul prayed for the Colossians “asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father…”
There are Christian Counseling Centers that can help with the multitude of problems that face many Christians today. There is debt counseling, career counseling, and premarital counseling to name a few. These are designed to help the Christian “live a life worthy” and to be “strengthened.”
Receiving godly wisdom from the Bible is the best way to overcome a seemingly unbearable situation. Christian counseling centers should be the place for a Christian to head a the first sign of a problem.
