Are Blind Dates Dangerous?
A blind date can turn in to one of the most dangerous situations a woman finds herself in. Most of the time the date is arranged by a friend that we probably trust. We cannot help but have that expectation of Maybe this is Mister Right.
“Hey, nothing bad will happen, right?” We tend to dwell on the possible good outcome of a blind date and don’t even think there might be unpleasant results from accepting the invitation. We all think the same way. We tend to be hopeful. When we do hear of something going horribly wrong on a blind date we tell ourselves, “That would never happen to me”
We all know we should take precautions. For most of us a reminder like this article is all we need.
Blind dates can be great but we have all heard of one going terribly bad. We should take a women’s self defense course or at the least have some self defense weapons available.
There are self defense products you can have with you all the time. You can carry a Stun Gun, Pepper Spray, Personal Alarm or a TASER.
Blind dates are one of the most common ways to meet a new boyfriend. You might have a friend, that knows a friend, and then everything goes from there. The problem is that the friend that hooked you up for the blind date really didn’t know the person well and they might not even know their last name.
Like it or not, when you are on a blind date you are vulnerable. Try to make the blind date a double date with the friend that set you up. Drive yourself to the date. Don’t depend on the blind date to drive you home. Carry some form of self defense with you. They are discreet so don’t worry about offending your date. You are just giving yourself options in case you need to use them.
You might be comfortable carrying a stun gun. These days they are quite chic. They come disguised as cell phones, flashlights, even to look like a tube of lipstick! If you use one you don’t have to worry about killing someone. They are non-lethal self defense weapons that incapacitate an attacker by sending a very high voltage but low amperage shock into an attacker. This will give you the time needed to run away from the situation and go look for help.
For great stopping power consider the TASER C2. It is small, looks great (even fashionable) and is easy to use. It will stop an attacker and give you the time necessary to get out of there.
A good women’s self defense product is Pepper Spray. You can carry this and no one will ever know. Pepper spray is available to look like a regular pager, a writing pen, even a lipstick case. You’ll be able to surprise your attacker and spray him right in the face to get the best results. As your attacker is lying on the floor writhing in pain you can run away and get out of danger.
Think about carrying pepper spray, a stun gun or a TASER BEFORE you find yourself in a dangerous situation on a blind date. You will be so glad you made the decision to be prepared for the worst on a blind date. It is always good to hope for the best, hey, it really might be “Mr. Right” that you meet, but be prepared for the worst and hope you never have to use your self defense product.
Those self defense products will help to make sure your blind date has a happy ending!
